Most importantly, our design-build process ensures that more of your project budget is directed into a high-quality finished product. Because we handle every aspect of the project, we have the ability to closely manage the construction process and ensure that the final result meets all of your expectations. We have a team of experienced professionals who are dedicated to delivering top-quality work, and we are committed to delivering the best results for our clients.

Commercial Concrete Contractor Services

As a design-build commercial concrete contractor, Silver Spur Concrete handles every aspect of a project from start to finish. This means that we are responsible for the entire process, from the initial design concept to the permitting, lot preparation, and actual construction. Our design-build process brings many benefits to our clients, including the ability to value engineer the project. This means that we can identify opportunities to optimize the design and construction process in order to save time and reduce costs.

In addition to value engineering, our design-build process also allows us to avoid the headache of marked up subcontractor costs. When you work with a traditional design-bid-build contractor, you may have to deal with multiple subcontractors and the costs associated with their work. With our design-build process, we handle all of the subcontracting in-house, which means that you don’t have to worry about marked up costs and can have more control over your project budget.

Whether you already have design plans or just have an idea in mind, we can design it, plan it, and build it to specification.  To discuss your project, contact us at 713-482-7712 or contact us online for a quote.

Types of  Commercial Concrete Construction

Our turn-key concrete construction services include:

Parking lots

These are paved areas where vehicles can be parked. They can be found at a variety of locations, including shopping centers, office buildings, and apartment complexes.

Parking garages

These are multi-level structures that are designed for vehicle parking. They can be found in urban areas where space is at a premium and are often used to accommodate large numbers of vehicles in a small area.

Demolition and/or excavation

These services involve the removal of existing structures or the digging and grading of land in preparation for construction. This may be necessary in order to clear the way for new construction or to prepare the site for the foundation of a new building.

Tiltwall buildings

These are buildings that are constructed using tilt-up concrete walls. The walls are cast on site and then lifted into place using cranes, forming the exterior walls of the building.

Loading docks & dock wells

These are areas where goods can be loaded and unloaded from trucks and other vehicles. Loading docks are often found at warehouses and other industrial facilities, while dock wells are smaller versions that are typically used at smaller businesses.

Warehouse construction

This involves the construction of warehouses, which are large, open buildings that are used to store goods and materials. Warehouses can be used for a variety of purposes, including storage, distribution, and manufacturing.

Workshop construction

This involves the construction of workshops, which are specialized spaces that are used for the repair and maintenance of equipment and other materials. Workshops can be found at a variety of locations, including industrial facilities, automotive repair shops, and other businesses.

Office parks

These are complexes of office buildings that are located on a shared campus. Office parks are often found in suburban areas and may include a range of amenities, such as fitness centers, cafes, and conference facilities.

Airstrips & landing pads

These are paved areas that are used for the takeoff and landing of aircraft. Airstrips are typically found at airports, while landing pads are smaller versions that are used at heliports or other locations.

Industrial & commercial buildings

These are buildings that are used for a variety of purposes, including manufacturing, storage, and distribution. Industrial buildings are typically found at industrial facilities, while commercial buildings are used for a range of business purposes.

Retention / detention ponds

These are ponds that are designed to capture and retain water in order to control erosion, reduce flooding, and improve water quality. Retention ponds are used to store water during times of excess, while detention ponds are used to slow the release of water during times of heavy rain.

Ramps

These are sloped surfaces that are used to connect different levels or to provide access for people with disabilities. Ramps can be found at a variety of locations, including parking garages, public buildings, and residential properties.

Driveways and patios

These are paved areas that are used to provide access to buildings or outdoor spaces. Driveways are typically found at residential properties and are used to provide access to the garage or other areas of the property. Patios are outdoor spaces that are used for entertaining or relaxing.

Hobby buildings

These are small structures that are used for a variety of purposes, including storage, workshop space, or as a retreat for hobbies or other activities. Hobby buildings can be found at residential properties and are often used to store tools, equipment, or other materials.

Tilt Wall Construction

Tilt wall construction is a method of building that involves the use of concrete panels that are cast on site and then lifted into place to form the external walls of a structure. At Silver Spur Concrete, we are experts in tilt wall construction and have the knowledge and skills to handle a wide range of projects.

The tilt wall construction process involves three main steps: design, casting, and installation. As a design-build firm, we use software to design the tilt wall panels to the exact specifications before they are cast. This helps to remove unknowns from the construction process and can help to reduce costs. Once the design is complete, we cast the wall panels horizontally on the ground at the work site using concrete forms and rebar. We then lift them with a crane and secure them in place using foundational footings and bracing. The walls are permanently secured when the roofing is installed.

There are many advantages to using tilt walls in construction. They are cheaper and faster to build than masonry and other types of materials, and they are also low maintenance and durable, which can lead to reduced costs in the maintenance of the building and longer building life cycles. Tilt walls can be used as alternatives to wood frame construction, steel beam construction, prefabricated steel beam construction, and masonry, and they are also very energy efficient, acting as an excellent insulator and helping to bring down long-term heating and cooling
